Accessibility Statement and Policy

1. Commitment to Accessibility

Kaaral S.r.l. Società Benefit is committed to making its website accessible to the widest possible audience, including people with visual, auditory, motor, cognitive and neurological disabilities.

Digital accessibility is an important part of Kaaral’s commitment to inclusion, responsible communication and social responsibility. Our objective is to provide a website experience that is clear, usable, understandable and as accessible as possible for all users, regardless of technology, device, ability or browsing context.

Accessibility is treated as an ongoing improvement process. The website is regularly reviewed and updated to reduce barriers, improve usability and support a more inclusive digital experience.

2. Scope of this Statement

This accessibility statement applies to the website:

https://kaaral.com

The website includes institutional pages, brand and product information, sustainability and B Corp-related content, brochures, contact forms, complaint forms, work-with-us forms, legal policies, accessibility feedback tools, posts, categories and tags.

Kaaral also provides an accessible sitemap page intended to help users find the main pages, posts, post categories and post tags available on the website.

3. Conformance Status

The website is currently partially conformant with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines WCAG 2.2 Level AA.

“Partially conformant” means that many accessibility requirements have been addressed or are being addressed, but some parts of the website may not yet fully conform to the target standard.

Kaaral is working toward improving alignment with:

WCAG 2.2 Level AA;

EN 301 549 accessibility requirements, where applicable;

good practices inspired by AGID accessibility principles, although the website is not currently presented as formally AGID-certified;

inclusive digital communication principles connected to Kaaral’s broader social responsibility and B Corp commitments.

The current accessibility work is based on a combination of manual review, technical corrections, internal checks, feedback collection, accessibility tools and progressive remediation.

4. Accessibility Measures Already Implemented

Kaaral has implemented and is progressively implementing several accessibility improvements across the website.

4.1 Navigation and structure

Navigation menus, mobile menus and footer links are being reviewed to improve keyboard access, focus visibility, ARIA labels and accessible link names.

Dropdown and megamenu elements are being improved so they can be reached and operated more effectively by keyboard.

Footer links have been reviewed to provide clearer accessible names, including links to legal policies, MSDS sheets, accessibility policy, accessibility feedback, work-with-us and complaint pages.

Breadcrumb navigation has been enhanced to provide a clearer navigation landmark and more understandable labels.

An accessible sitemap page has been created to help users access website pages, posts, categories and tags more easily.

4.2 Forms

Contact Form 7 forms are being reviewed to improve labels, required field information, autocomplete attributes, privacy acceptance text and keyboard usability.

The accessibility feedback form allows users to report barriers encountered while using the website.

Work-with-us forms have been revised to support both standard CV and anonymous CV submissions.

The complaints form has been structured with accessible labels, fieldsets, legends, required-field indicators and grouped complaint reasons.

4.3 Images, icons and decorative media

Images in the WordPress Media Library are being reviewed with accessibility-focused alternative text, titles, captions and descriptions.

Decorative icons, SVGs and non-informative visual elements are being reviewed so that they do not create unnecessary noise for assistive technologies.

Social media icons are being improved with meaningful accessible names, such as “Visit Kaaral on Instagram”, “Visit Kaaral on Facebook”, “Visit Kaaral on YouTube” and “Visit Kaaral on TikTok”.

4.4 Video and animation controls

Decorative background videos are being reviewed so they are not announced as meaningful content when they are purely decorative.

Pause/play controls are being added where needed for background and self-hosted videos, allowing users to pause motion when necessary.

Slider and animated components are being reviewed to improve keyboard operation, accessible labels and motion control.

4.5 Brochures and flipbooks

Interactive flipbook brochures are being improved with accessible control labels, keyboard focus, PDF fallback links and clearer navigation controls.

Where a brochure is displayed visually as a flipbook, Kaaral aims to provide a direct PDF alternative. However, full accessibility depends on the accessibility quality of the PDF itself.

4.6 Accessibility tools

The website uses WP Accessibility Pro to provide users with additional accessibility options and display adjustments.

Available features may include text size adjustment, contrast options, link highlighting, readable fonts, dyslexia-friendly font options, keyboard-related tools and other browsing customizations.

Accessibility plugins and widgets can support some users, but they do not replace manual accessibility remediation. Kaaral therefore treats the widget as an additional support tool, not as proof of full compliance.

5. Known Limitations and Areas Under Review

Despite ongoing work, some areas of the website may still present accessibility limitations. These include, but are not limited to:

PDF documents and brochures that may not yet be fully tagged or optimized for screen readers;

flipbook content rendered through canvas or visual viewers, where the visual experience may not be equivalent to a fully accessible HTML or tagged PDF version;

third-party widgets, cookie banners, translation tools, embedded iframes and plugin-generated components that may require additional accessibility remediation;

some legacy multimedia content that may not yet include complete captions, transcripts, audio descriptions or equivalent text alternatives;

some sliders, carousels and animated areas that may still require improved motion controls, labels or keyboard behavior;

some translated pages where language switching, automatic translations or translated labels may not always provide an optimal accessibility experience;

some older images, icons or media files that may still require revised alternative text or improved accessible naming;

some responsive layouts that may require further testing at high zoom levels, small screens or with assistive technologies;

some legal or technical content that may require further simplification for readability and comprehension.

The internal accessibility checklist for kaaral.com also identifies areas for ongoing work, including plugin/widget issues, contrast, form labels, autocomplete, error messages, iframe titles, video player controls, GTranslate language labels, breadcrumbs, sitemap improvements, responsive behavior, keyboard navigation, focus visibility and PDF/flipbook accessibility.

6. Technologies and Compatibility

The website is built using WordPress and Elementor, together with a number of plugins and custom snippets. Accessibility work includes reviewing both native website content and plugin-generated content.

The website is intended to be compatible with recent versions of major browsers and common assistive technologies. However, the level of accessibility may vary depending on the browser, device, operating system, assistive technology and user settings.

7. Continuous Improvement Process

Kaaral follows a continuous improvement approach to digital accessibility. Activities include:

periodic internal checks on pages and templates;

review of accessibility reports and scanner results;

manual checks on keyboard navigation, focus visibility and screen reader compatibility;

progressive correction of templates, menus, forms, media, icons and interactive components;

review of newly uploaded media and documents;

collection and evaluation of user feedback through the accessibility feedback form;

planning of future audits, remediation activities and documentation updates.

Kaaral recognizes that accessibility cannot be guaranteed only by automated tools. Manual review, user feedback and expert evaluation remain essential parts of the improvement process.

8. Feedback and Contact Information

Users who experience accessibility barriers on the website are encouraged to report them through the dedicated Accessibility Feedback page:

https://kaaral.com/accessibility-feedback/

The Accessibility Feedback page allows users to describe accessibility issues, indicate the affected page or feature and provide details that may help Kaaral investigate and resolve the problem.

Users may also contact Kaaral through the contact details available on the website. The website footer and contact information include the company address, email contact, telephone number and contact page link.

Kaaral will review accessibility feedback and, where technically and reasonably possible, will work to correct reported barriers or provide an accessible alternative.

9. Assessment Method

This statement is based on:

internal accessibility checks performed on the website;

review of reports from accessibility scanning tools;

manual review of selected templates, forms, navigation elements and media components;

technical remediation work carried out on menus, footer links, forms, videos, sliders, flipbooks, icons and other interface components;

the internal operational accessibility checklist for kaaral.com;

ongoing monitoring of public website pages and user feedback channels.

The internal checklist identifies WCAG 2.2 AA as the target level and includes references to EN 301 549, B Corp-related documentation needs and voluntary alignment with AGID-inspired accessibility practices.

10. Statement Date and Review

This accessibility statement was updated on 29 May 2026.

The statement will be reviewed periodically and updated when significant changes are made to the website, accessibility remediation work, legal requirements, technical standards or assessment results.

Kaaral aims to review this statement at least once per year, or earlier if relevant accessibility updates, audits or user feedback require it.
